About Me
My name is Ben Brasch, and the founder/owner/unpaid intern of Giddy Up Woodcraft.
I started Giddy Up in June 2020 with the goal of creating wood pieces that thread the needle between beauty function. I specialize in creating serving and cutting boards, coffee and dining tables, and wall art.
I chose the name “Giddy Up” for two reasons: (1) It’s an affirmation, and (2) it evokes the West. In other words, I strive for my art to bring people together, to invite people in, and I see a lot of western motifs—from live-edge landscapes to western symbolism—in the wood I work with and the projects I take on.
As I continue to grow as a woodworker, I look forward to trying new techniques and taking on wild commissions. So, if you’ve found your way here, take a look around and see if something catches your eye. Then, reach out. I love to talk to folks about my work, and I’d be happy to help add something beautiful to your home.
