Five Brasch Boys

It’s not woodworking, but they’re damn creative.

Sam Brasch

Sam is the oldest of the birth Brasch’s and a Climate and Environment Reporter at Colorado Public Radio. He currently lives in Denver with his dog, Barbara.

He edited, produced, and hosted CPR’s Purplish through November 2019. He currently hosts a new Podcast called At a Distance. He has reported at length about everything from Kosher Slaughterhouses to GMO testing on pig testicles.

Sam is best known in the Brasch family for political disagreements with our father and once writing a facebook post where he spelled faux pas as fopa.

Tyler Kion

Tyler is the eldest, and newest, addition to the Brasch clan. He and Jake (see below) were married in our parent’s backyard in September 2019.

Tyler is a clown by day and a musician by night, mainly playing saxophone. He was recently featured on Joshua Linsky’s album “Family Tree.”

In the Brasch family, Tyler is known for his cheeriness, his sense of adventure, and his blue eyes, which do not exist in any portion of the Brasch family tree.

Jake Brasch

Jake is the Brasch family’s resident actor and playwright. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with Tyler, also daylighting as a clown. By night, Jake writes and acts. He is currently a part of the Ensemble Studio Theater Youngblood cohort.

Jake has written and produced multiple plays, including Salutations: I’m Creative Dave, Wall! A Thinly Veiled Metaphor, and The Brine.

In the Brasch family, Jake is known for his absurdist humor, his cooking, and playing the piano really loud. Check out his work at jakebrasch.com.

Joe Brasch

Joe is the youngest of the Brasch clan. He lives in Denver, CO after having graduated from Colorado College.

His greatest love is, obviously, his family. But a close second is Major League Baseball, and specifically, the Colorado Rockies. Joe co-hosts a podcast called DRFs: A Rockies Podcast that takes an in-depth look at the Rockies and at baseball in general.

Joe is best known in the family for his dry wit, taking care of the dog, and convincing everyone (except me) to love baseball.
